Shipping, Receiving & Returns Policy
Effective Date: Upon order placement. By completing checkout, the Customer (“Customer”) agrees to the following terms and conditions.
1. General Shipping Policy
1.1 Hydra Custom Coatings (“HCC”) ships only within the United States.
1.2 Firearms, accessories, and related items will not be shipped outside the U.S. under any circumstances.
1.3 Flat-rate shipping charges apply based on item size, weight, and category. These rates cover the majority of shipments within the contiguous 48 states.
1.4 Orders shipped to Alaska or Hawaii may incur additional fees. Customers unwilling to pay additional shipping costs will have their orders canceled and refunded.
1.5 Packages exceeding 46 inches in length may be subject to added freight surcharges.
2. Restricted Destinations
HCC does not ship firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition to the following locations:
Guam
Puerto Rico
Any U.S. territories or protectorates
Orders placed from restricted regions will be canceled and refunded less applicable processing fees.
3. Shipping Methods and Delivery
3.1 Orders are typically shipped via UPS, FedEx, or USPS, depending on item classification.
3.2 Morale patch orders will be shipped via USPS First-Class Mail without tracking.
3.3 Customers may request tracking information for shipments sent via UPS or FedEx.
3.4 Orders marked “Completed” indicate that a shipping label has been created and the order is awaiting carrier pickup. Packages generally depart HCC facilities by 4:00 PM CST.
3.5 Once an order has left HCC custody, delivery location and handling are determined solely by the carrier. HCC cannot guarantee placement or delivery instructions for residential or commercial properties. Customers wishing to specify placement or special delivery instructions must coordinate directly with their local UPS or USPS office.
4. Ammunition Shipping Restrictions
4.1 Hydra Custom Coatings complies with all federal, state, and local ammunition shipping laws.
4.2 Ammunition orders will only be shipped to the Lower 48 states.
4.3 Ammunition shipments are prohibited to the following jurisdictions:
Alaska
Hawaii
California
Massachusetts
Chicago (city limits)
New York State
Any area where ammunition shipment is restricted by law
4.4 Orders placed from restricted areas will be canceled and subject to a 5% cancellation fee.
5. Customer Affidavit (Ammunition Purchases)
By purchasing ammunition, the Customer certifies under penalty of perjury that:
They are 21 years of age or older;
The transaction does not violate any state or local law;
They are not under indictment nor have been convicted of a felony punishable by more than one year;
They are not a fugitive from justice;
They are not an unlawful user of or addicted to controlled substances;
They have not been adjudicated mentally defective or committed to a mental institution;
They are a lawful U.S. citizen or permanent resident;
They have not been dishonorably discharged from the Armed Forces;
They have not renounced U.S. citizenship;
They are not subject to any restraining order or domestic violence conviction;
They will not engage in the unlawful export of any firearm, ammunition, or related article.
6. Order Fulfillment and Processing
6.1 Orders are processed and shipped within 3–10 business days depending on item availability, workload, and carrier scheduling.
6.2 Orders received on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day.
6.3 Extended processing times may occur during high-volume or holiday periods.
7. Returns & Exchanges
7.1 Customers must request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) within 10 days of product receipt to be eligible for return.
7.2 Returned items must be:
Unopened and in original packaging;
Returned within 10 business days of RMA issuance;
Accompanied by all original accessories, manuals, and documentation.
7.3 Approved returns will receive one of the following, at HCC’s discretion:
Exchange for an identical or comparable product;
Store credit; or
Refund via the original payment method, less applicable fees.
7.4 Fees:
10% restocking fee for unopened items.
25% total fee (10% restocking + 15% open-box) for items opened or removed from original packaging.
Shipping charges are non-refundable.
8. Non-Returnable Items
The following products are not eligible for return or refund:
Custom orders or products configured to customer specifications;
Products sold “as is” or “used”;
Items that have been installed, fired, or modified after receipt;
NFA-regulated items after ATF paperwork has begun;
Illumination devices, optics, electronic sights, and night-vision products.
For manufacturer defects or warranty claims, please contact the manufacturer directly.
9. Return Shipping Responsibility
9.1 The Customer is responsible for all return shipping costs, including both outbound and inbound freight.
9.2 HCC recommends using a trackable and insured shipping method for all returns.
9.3 HCC is not responsible for loss or damage of return shipments not insured or tracked by the Customer.
9.4 For USPS returns, please note that USPS tracking is limited and a 30-day waiting period applies before a trace can be initiated.
10. Refused Shipments
Shipments refused upon delivery will be treated as returns and subject to both return shipping charges and restocking fees as outlined above.
