What is an FFL Transfer?
A Federal Firearms License (FFL) Transfer is the legal process that allows a firearm to be shipped from one licensed dealer to another so the buyer can complete all federal requirements locally.
An FFL transfer is required when:
Buying a gun from another state.
Ordering a firearm online from sites like GunBroker, Guns.com, or Palmetto State Armory.

FFL Transfer Process
Complete Our Transfer Request Form (Below).
We Contact the Seller’s FFL – We exchange license details and confirm shipment.
Firearm Ships to Hydra Customs – Sent directly from the seller’s licensed FFL.
We Log & Secure Your Firearm – All items are received and stored per ATF regulations.
You Complete ATF Form 4473 – Background check performed on-site.
Pay Transfer Fee & Take Home Your Firearm – Upon approval, you leave with your new purchase.
Transfer Requirements
Valid government-issued photo ID required at pickup.
We only transfer to permanent U.S. residents.
You must be 18 or older to transfer a rifle or shotgun, 21 or older to transfer a handgun or receiver.
Only the purchaser named on the paperwork may pick up the firearm.
Non-serialized firearms are not accepted.
Restrictions & Fees
Transfer Fee: $40 per firearm.
Firearms will only be released after a “proceed” result from the background check.
